NICSA is excited to partner with ALFI on their Global Distribution Conference in Luxembourg this September, where 50+ speakers, 50+ distributors, and hundreds of senior executives from the international asset management and global fund distribution community will converge to discuss the current distribution landscape and the emergence of new opportunities.

The conference is shaping up to be a premier global event. Cross-border distribution, new frontier target markets, key regulatory impacts, and digitalization are topics that are sure to capture the attention of attendees.

While at the event, I’ll be providing a U.S. perspective on fund industry trends which I hope will spark the kind of idea sharing that underpins strong business relationships among global peers and partners—relationships that are the bedrock of a healthy global distribution ecosystem.

Amid disruptive technology and regulatory challenges, the global asset management and fund industries are seizing the opportunity to build critical trust and enhance customer-centric service models. Financial institutions that retain traditional values around trust and service, yet embrace evolving technological advancements, will be well positioned for the future. Industry focus has shifted heavily toward bridging the gap between product and investor. FinTech is helping to bridge this gap, and fund providers around the globe are utilizing enhanced technologies to align client expectations with a more customized client experience. The road to continued growth for many industry leaders is a multi-dimential approach, with business agility and technology adaptation at the heart of their business strategies.

NICSA recognizes the critical role played by the global distribution community and we look to serve these professionals along their business journey. Coming together to highlight innovative distribution approaches that could help our industry reach a wider global audience is a goal that NICSA fully supports. I am looking forward to attending the ALFI Global Distribution Conference this fall and sharing ideas and best practices with our global colleagues.

I will be certain to share my observations and learnings with the NICSA community upon my return.

A bientôt. Bis dann. And for my American friends, “Until then…”
