It was another warm and sunny day in Miami as the 31st NICSA Annual Conference came to a close today. Despite missing colleagues from the northeast unable to make it due to snowstorm Nemo, the conference was a tremendous success!
Day 3 closed with a roundtable addressing one of the industry’s key opportunities – technology and innovation. Jib Wilkinson from Deloitte moderated a lively panel discussion with speakers Mike Green, MFS, Suresh Kumar, BNY Mellon, Mike McGovern, Citi, and John Shea, from Eaton Vance. The panel was followed by a closing keynote presentation from technology futurist Daniel Burrus. Mr. Burrus’ presentation centered around certainty and uncertainty – hard trends versus soft trends. What do we know, and what are we uncertain about – and how we use that information to create our strategy for future action.
Even if you weren’t at the conference, additional information from conference presentations and highlights from the conference will continue to be available on the NICSA website, and on the conference app.
As we bid a fond farewell to the Doral, we look forward to seeing you next year at the Westin Diplomat, February 12-14, 2014 in Hollywood, Florida!
